Terms of Service

Welcome to Antigram. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Antigram mobile application (the "App") operated by Stepback 3 Studio, LLC ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of service

Antigram is a private, end-to-end encrypted photo sharing application for iOS. The App lets you create small circles of trusted contacts and share encrypted photos within those circles. Photos are encrypted on your device before upload and can only be decrypted by circle members. Captions, comments, and likes are stored on our servers so they can be shown to your circle; see the Privacy Policy for details.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App.

3. Your account

You sign in using Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and any activity that occurs through your account. You may optionally set a display name and avatar, which will be visible to members of your circles.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to:

• Share content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or defamatory
• Share content that depicts the exploitation or abuse of minors
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Transmit malware or any other harmful code
• Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the App's security features or usage limits
• Impersonate any person or entity

We may terminate your access to the App if we have reason to believe you are violating these Terms, even though we cannot view the content of your encrypted photos.

5. Your content

You retain full ownership of all photos and content you share through the App. By sharing content within a circle, you grant other circle members a limited, non-transferable license to view that content within the App. We do not claim any ownership rights over your content, and because of our end-to-end encryption architecture, we cannot access or view your photos.

6. Encryption and data recovery

Important: Antigram uses end-to-end encryption. If you lose access to your device and your encryption keys, your photos cannot be recovered — not by us, not by Apple, not by anyone. You are solely responsible for maintaining access to your device and account.

7. Circles and usage limits

Circle creators control membership within their circles and are responsible for approving or denying join requests. The App currently has the following limits: each circle holds up to 10 members, each user may belong to up to 5 circles, and each user may store up to 2,000 photos (deleting photos frees up space). Small circles are the point of the App; storage limits may be raised over time, and we may in the future offer an optional paid tier with a higher storage limit, but we will not lower limits you already have.

8. Notifications

The App provides a daily digest notification at a time you choose. You may disable notifications at any time through your device settings. Notification content does not include photos.

9. Availability and changes to the App

Antigram is a small, independent project. We strive to keep the App available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time, and will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time through the App's settings. Upon account deletion, your profile, circle memberships, and encrypted content are permanently removed from our servers. We may also terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Stepback 3 Studio, LLC and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of photos, or loss of access to encrypted content — arising out of or related to your use of the App.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stepback 3 Studio, LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Arizona.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or this website. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
